Where to Summerlicious in Toronto

Yes, it’s officially summer. That means patios, cottage weekends, and evenings spent out on the town. Toronto really comes alive when the weather gets good, and Torontonians love to get out and have a great meal on the town. That’s why Summerlicious is so awesome! For 16 days every summer, the city’s best restaurants create tasting menus at extremely reasonable prices. Most restaurants offer a 3-course meal at a price point of $25, $35, or $45, and you can bet you’ll be trying many of their signature dishes. As you know, Yonge and College is surrounded by amazing restaurants and we want to tell you about the ones you can’t miss this Summerlicious season.

If you’re looking for a Mediterranean-style meal in the heart of Yorkville, this is the hotspot for you. With a mix of traditional Mediterranean flavours and inventive dishes, like the olive-laden ceviche they offer, Mideastro is definitely a delicious experience. They’re offering a 3-course dinner for $35, and yes, the ceviche is on the menu!

If you’ve ever stepped foot into MoRocCo Chocolat, you know this French-style restaurant is known for their macaron cookies, but this summer they want to prove they can do more than bake. Their Summerlicious menu is loaded with French dishes, like the lamb shank chocolate fettucine and the quiche, and don’t doubt you’ll be getting delicious desserts - we suggest Eyal’s cheesecake!

Looking for lunch with a view? Look no further than the Financial District’s own Canoe. Located on the 54th floor of the TD Tower on Wellington, this Oliver & Bonacini restaurant is known to host the Bay Street folk alongside the ladies who lunch. They’re offering a 3-course lunch with all the trimmings for $25 - definitely can’t be beat.

Cafe Boulud
Daniel Boulud is one of the world’s most renowned chefs - no wonder he opened his restaurant in the most posh hotel in the city! Located at the Four Seasons Hotel, Cafe Boulud has elevated upscale dining in our city. For Summerlicious, the restaurant is offering a $45 tasting menu that is guaranteed to knock your socks off. If you’re looking for an upscale experience at a fraction of the cost, get your reservation in quickly!

Momofuku Noodle Bar
If you haven’t had a chance to check out Momofuku Noodle Bar yet, this is your chance! For $15 they’re offering a 3-course lunch, and don’t doubt their signature fried chicken is on the menu. Yum!

Pure Spirits Oyster House & Grill
Known as one of the top oyster houses in Toronto, Pure Spirits Oyster House & Grill is a must-try if you’re a fan of this delicacy, but that’s not all they have. Their Summerlicious offering this year doesn’t even have oysters on the menu, but it does have some amazing dishes like the mango gazpacho and the grilled pork chop. Located in the Distillery District, this spot is the perfect place for a beautiful evening! We love strolling on the cobblestone roads after an amazing meal in the area.
